CallReply

For tradespeople, shops and independents

You can't pick up. Your phone answers by text.

When a call is missed, CallReply sends your message from your own number a few seconds later. The caller knows you saw it and when you will call back.

Android today. iPhone: in simple mode.

10:42 Missed call · Mrs Leroy 10:42 Text sent from your number

Hello, I'm on a job site. I'll call you back before 1 pm. Christophe, Martin Plumbing

Great, thanks. It's about the leak under the sink.

Example. The text is yours, change it whenever you like.

How it goes

Install the app once, write your message, that's it.

  1. 01 A call doesn't get through. You're with a customer, driving or already on the phone.
  2. 02 Your phone sends your text. From your number, once per person per day, at the hours you choose.
  3. 03 You call back when you can. The history shows who called and what was sent.

Frequently asked questions

Are texts really sent from my number?

Yes. CallReply uses your phone's own SMS: customers receive an ordinary text from your usual number and can reply to you directly.

What if my phone is off or locked?

Detection works with the phone locked. If it was off, CallReply catches up on missed calls as soon as it reboots, thanks to its persistent checkpoint.

Can I use one subscription for several numbers?

No: a subscription covers one phone number, verified by SMS code, used on one phone at a time. Another number needs another subscription. You can change your number from the app or the web space.

Can a customer opt out of my messages?

Yes. Add their number to the STOP list (from the phone or the web) and no automatic SMS will ever be sent to them again.

Can I send the texts at a set time, or not at weekends?

Yes. Two modes to choose from: automatic (a text a few seconds after each missed call) or scheduled (every text at the time you choose, except to numbers already called back). Days off (every weekend, holidays, bank holidays) have their own message, which gives your next opening day.

Where is my data stored?

In your secure space, hosted in France. Each category has its own retention period, set out in the privacy policy: past its window, your history keeps its dates and delivery statuses but no longer the numbers. Address-book sync is optional and requires your consent, and you may ask for a copy of your data, or its erasure, at any time from "My data".

Which permissions does CallReply ask for, and why?

Call log (essential): To see that a call was missed or declined, so you can answer it by SMS. Phone (essential): To react as soon as a call ends, and to pick the right SIM on a dual-SIM phone. SMS (essential): To send the reply from your own number, with nobody in between. Notifications (recommended): To tell you about sends, failures and anything that needs your attention. Unrestricted battery (recommended): To let CallReply work while the phone is locked, so replies go out on time. Alarms & reminders (recommended): To send scheduled replies at the exact time you chose. Contacts (optional): To show your customers' first names and write "Hello Marie" with {first_name}. Phone numbers (optional): To check that the phone's SIM card matches your account's number.

Is the app available on iPhone?

Yes. iOS does not let an app send a text on its own: on iPhone, CallReply prepares the message after each missed call and you send it in one tap, or a Shortcuts automation sends it for you. On Android 8.0 and up, sending is fully automatic.

How much does a text sent by CallReply cost?

Nothing beyond your plan: the text goes out from your SIM. With unlimited texts, as most French plans include, sending costs you nothing.

Do I need a new number or plan?

No. CallReply uses your current number and plan. No new line, no switchboard, no hardware.

How long does it take to set up?

A few minutes: create your account, confirm your number with a text code, grant the permissions by following the guide, and write your message.

Can I choose who receives the text?

Yes. You choose which calls count, set a daily cap, and add to the STOP list the numbers that must never receive a message.

What does my customer see?

An ordinary text from your usual number, with your message. They can reply like any text.

Can I reply by hand instead of automatically?

Yes, even without a subscription: from the history, open a missed call and send your reply in one tap.

Can I cancel the subscription?

Any time, from the app. Access stays active until the end of the period already paid, with no fees or commitment.
